"Dark Cabinet of the Strange Weird was a live radio show performed in 2006 and 2007. The EHSE release captures the throw-back essence of the radio play record by packaging the LP in re-purposed, painted and silk-screened LP boxes (evicting hundreds of crappy classical records from their homes to use the boxes for fiendish ends) to bring out the genre-specific qualities of an old Radiola release. 250 special-edition box-sets were produced, which included screen-printed inserts by Erin Womack, further emphasizing the album as both a work of homage and a work of art."
