Bayou Music is the first release for Holy Ghost Party under the Ehse imprint. It is the first set of recordings the band has done since moving exclusively into an improvised musical context. All the "songs" contained within were extemporaneously created live in a 6 x 6 foot box in a studio in the Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn, NYC. The resulting raw material was later tweaked in a much larger studio in the Copycat building of Baltimore, MD; an act of musical duplicity intended to create a more continuous flow reminiscent of what the band actually does in a concert setting. Also there was bass added to some of the tracks with the intention of filling out the frequency spectrum and making the band sound bigger than they in fact are. All song names were chosen at random and have little to no significance.
