Campfire Spacesuit
Ehse SS009
The Mole Suit Choir is one banjo, one guitar, one triangle, a thumb piano and two soulful vocals painting an aural life raft with inspired harmonies. They gestated in the Baltimore underground for 25 years, Liz Downing and Rupert Wondolowski circling each other in the orbit of the arts community. Both playing in various shimmering groups while Liz also painted prolifically and Rupert churned out feverish poetry. In "Campfire Spacesuit" Glen Burnie, Poland meets Extraterrestrial, Alabama in Outer Baltimore from Inner Space: somehow they found each other, on their porches (I think it was Liz that knocked on Rupert's door, incredulous he answered, and without fear bundled up all his fears. Together they struck the matches and watched them burn, aglow, like bread crumbs soaked in firecracker rock worms); and picked up old instruments to continue digging their way out of the spinning yarn and into the fire. Come sit and warm yourself.

At Ehse, our primary goal is to get great under-the-radar music out there where it can be heard and enjoyed, but that can get pretty costly for a small music label. Before we provide you with your free, high-quality mp3 files, would you like to support the Ehse cause and the artists we support? Any amount is fine. Whatever you think this music is worth to you.
