Hailing from Baltimore, Maryland, Raw Silk blends classical sitar, electric cello, Indian vocals and experimental electronics into a long-form head massage. The result is this premiere, which takes the form of 5 – 15-minute cutting edge works with recurring themes, melodies, beats, and ragas: the sound tantalizes and invigorates the ears, body, and soul. They've shared stages with the likes of Dan Deacon, Prince Rama, Sun Ra Arkestra, and Weyes Blood, and Ami Dang has released two solo records and toured Asia opening up for Grimes.
